my dog is really old and skinny. how do i fatten him up?
it’s a serious question. i just needed an interesting opening question to draw people in to look at it. he always begs for table food but never eats his dog food.
Chosen Answer:
If your dog is old and losing weight he could be sick and needs to see a vet.If you try to keep feeding him will only make it hard for him to get around at his old age.The fact he is’nt wanting to eat more than usual to fatten up also tells you he is’nt hungry.I think your question is’nt for real anyway

Feed it high quality dog food and increase the amount and times a day you feed it.
However, if the dog is old you should take it to the vet first to make sure there isn’t something wrong that’s keeping it from gaining weight.
Wow this always happens when I go to this section the first question I see is from a troll…

Dogs get skinny when they’re old, it’s just one of those things. They’re also prone to going off their food for a bit unless there’s something especially tempting on offer. If you’re really worried then see your vet but honestly it just sounds to me like you’re dog’s just getting old. Try mixing his food with some warm water, it might make it a bit more appealing.
